Pâté Birthday is attending the International Food Bloggers Conference in New Orleans in August 2011!  This is the perfect opportunity to explore the food traditions that made their way to my family dinner table after my grandparents moved from NOLA to LA, long before I was born.  It's as if I'm about to reunite with a food culture I've never officially met, but have developed a strong long distance relationship with over the years.
